Lux Set
The most popular model from the mature socialism era was originally designed in the neighbouring Serbia. However, savvy compatriots drew inspiration and recreated the model in Bulgaria, turning it into an iconic piece of furniture for generations. In the time when everything had to be the same those armchairs were making difference. It was not only a sign of a social prestige to have them in your living room but also one of the main reasons for neighbours to be jealous.
Story
The exhibits in our collection are dated from the early 80s. The joiner was the famous Bobi Macata – one of the most popular private craftsmen at this time.
What we did
We managed to save the wooden components and the springs, and added some modern twist turning these old beauties into piece of art.
