Hotel Izgrev in Golden Sands resort is one of the first hotels to appear in the newly built resort north of the sea capital of Varna. In the glorious years around its discovery, the hotel is preferred by both Bulgarian socialist leaders and distinguished guests from abroad.

The chairs were part of the restaurant’s salon, where all guests of the prestigious hotel complex were welcomed. The old hotel was completely destroyed in 1999, and the property sold before demolition. The chairs then mature on a suburban ceiling, waiting patiently for their return to life.

For the first time we decided to darken the tree to make a contrast with a light-beige flower trim. We decided to bring the drawings from the walls onto the armchairs themselves, relying on contrasting floral motifs so typical of that time.
